| What an exciting time it was
for everyone who was involved
with the Field Rangers Gathering.
The retired Field Rangers had
gathered to pass on legends of
old, and their wilderness experiences,
which had never been recorded
until the first gathering. These
gatherings will be talked about
for many years to come. |

and Ian Player launch Nomkhubulwane |
| On the 3rd of September 2009,
at Premat's factory in Durban's
Briardene area, the encounter
between industry and environment
became manifest as Nomkhubulwane,
a life size African elephant matriarch
made from recycled truck tyres
and mild galvanized steel armature,
was introduced to the public. |
